A well-travelled goalkeeper, Nash has played for a host of different clubs since joining Crystal Palace in 1996.

Before joining the Latics in June 2007 the custodian spent an impressive two years at Preston North End and in the 2005/06 season he set a club record of 24 clean sheets as the Deepdale outfit conceded fewer goals than champions Reading.

He spent two months on loan at the JJB Stadium at the tail end of last season before his permanent move.

Brought in as cover for Chris Kirkland and Mike Pollitt, left for Everton August 2008
